Can you simply paint over radiators?

Which is better: painting or spraying radiators?

Please refer to the sprayer manufacturer's instructions. Our paint can be mixed with 3-5% water.

Heating Painting
Painting radiators offers numerous benefits that go far beyond improving their appearance. A fresh coat of paint can make old, yellowed radiators look like new again, giving your room a clean and well-maintained feel . Painting radiators also protects the metal from rust and wear, extending the life of the radiator. Radiator paints are specially designed to be heat-resistant and durable, so they can withstand high temperatures and won't yellow or peel.
application possibilities
Painting a radiator offers flexible design options for different rooms. Whether in the living room, bedroom, bathroom or kitchen - a freshly painted radiator and heating pipes blend harmoniously into the room design or set specific color accents . You can paint your radiators in classic white tones or modern colors to either keep them discreetly in the background or use them as a stylish eye-catcher. Colorful radiators can also make the ambience in children's rooms more cheerful .
step-by-step instructions
To paint your radiators in the best possible way, you should first make sure that the radiator is turned off and cool . Clean it thoroughly of dust, dirt and grease, ideally with warm soapy water or a special degreaser, and then dry the surface well. Then lightly sand the surface of the radiator with fine sandpaper to improve the adhesion of the paint. Remove the sanding dust with a damp cloth and allow the radiator to dry completely . To protect surrounding walls, floors and fittings, you should cover them with masking tape and masking film.
If the radiator is badly damaged or rusty, we recommend applying a suitable primer that must dry completely before painting. Use our special heat-resistant radiator paint and apply it thinly and evenly with a flat brush, round brush or foam roller. Allow the first coat to dry for at least 4-6 hours . Then apply a second coat of radiator paint to achieve an even and long-lasting coverage. This coat should also dry well.
Practical Tips
Ensure good ventilation during painting and drying. Clean brushes and rollers immediately after use with warm water and soap or an appropriate solvent to ensure long life. Check your radiators regularly for wear and damage , as a fresh coat of paint every 5-10 years will help keep your radiators in top condition.
Painting your radiators is a simple but effective way to freshen up your home while maintaining the functionality of the radiators. With the right materials and a little patience, you can achieve a professional result that will last for many years.
