Step 1: Preparing the surface

Make sure the floor is clean, dry and free of grease, wax or old varnish residue. Sand the surface thoroughly to create a smooth base for the parquet varnish. Then remove all dust with a vacuum cleaner or damp cloth.

Step 2: Masking

To avoid unwanted paint, carefully tape off all edges and areas that are not to be painted. This will ensure clean and precise edges.

Step 3: Apply parquet varnish

Stir the parquet varnish thoroughly before use. Then apply the varnish evenly to the prepared floor using a flat brush or paint roller. It is best to start in a corner of the room and work in strips to avoid overlapping. Allow the first coat to dry for about 2-4 hours at room temperature. Depending on the level of protection desired, a second or third coat can be applied. Make sure that each coat is completely dry before applying the next.

Tip: We recommend doing a test coat in an inconspicuous area beforehand to ensure that the paint has the desired effect. Make sure to apply the paint in a well-ventilated room and wear a dust mask when sanding to protect your health.
